Third Party Vendor Auditing workshop is an insightful and invaluable workshop on third-party collection vendor oversight, focusing on comprehensive audit strategies tailored for both collection agencies and repossession vendors. In an ever-evolving regulatory landscape, ensuring compliance and efficiency in vendor relationships is paramount for financial institutions and businesses alike. Our class will delve deep into the intricacies of audit oversight, providing practical insights and actionable strategies to mitigate risks, enhance performance, and maintain regulatory compliance. Whether you’re a collection professional, compliance officer, or risk manager, this session promises to equip you with the knowledge and tools needed to effectively navigate the challenges of vendor oversight in the collection and recovery space.

Focus Areas Included in the Training:

  • Developing an auditing program for Repossession Agents and/or National Forwarders, including state regulations for police notification, personal property letters, licenses, personal information collected/stored.
  • Understanding your internal processes and identifying potential gaps that may impact repossession.  Areas covered include contractual terms (deficiency, grace period, etc.), deactivation of all payment portal options, letters sent, scrubs completed (SCRA, bankruptcy, etc.), collection and skip trace efforts, etc.
  • Ensuring your vendors have effective Compliance Oversight to minimize risk to your business.
  • Reviewing accounts and work effort for High-Risk operational collection processes.
  • Evaluating the Financial Strength of your vendors to ensure that they can continue to deliver results.
  • Validating that your vendor meets your Contractual Requirements.
  • Utilizing call monitoring to continually evaluate how your vendor treats your customers and works your accounts.

Day One – 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.  –  Repossession Auditing

Day Two – 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. – Collection Agency Auditing

Bev Evancic, Senior Vice President – Resource Management Services, Inc.

Bev Evancic has over 30 years experience in collection and recovery. She has managed all phases of collection and recovery operations, including automated dialer units, bankruptcy and legal units, skip tracing units, internal collections, and outside collection agency networks. As a Consultant for Resource Management Services, Inc., Bev has spearheaded collection and recovery best practices reviews for many top credit grantors. Her articles on dialer operations, agency management and bankruptcy best practices have been widely publicized.

Ken Evancic, Vice President – Resource Management Services, Inc.

Ken Evancic is a collections veteran with over 30 years experience. He has managed all phases of collection, including all levels of delinquency, automated dialer units, early out agency management, recovery, and skip tracing. In addition to collections operations management, he has lead initiatives in the areas of performance management, collections strategy development, collector and manager training, collector desktop design, collections reporting systems, and risk and compliance.
